Give Go Kart Racing a Try

Go kart racing is fun, end of story! Well, maybe I should tell you a little about it first so you can decide if it is something you want to try. First of all, you need to let go of any notions you have that this hobby is just for kids. Sure, kids love it but many adults have realized how fun and exciting it is.[widget:ad_unit-490971921]

A go kart is a small and open four-wheeled vehicle that can reach speeds of up to one-hundred and sixty miles an hour. If you are just starting out and have never drove a go kart before, you may want to get some practice on an easy track with other beginners. Most amusement parks, water parks and even some resorts have tracks that are open to the public but these ones only reach speeds of about twenty miles and hour. Take the kids out for the day and find out where they are in your area and get to it! Although, you won’t be racing at high speeds with the pros, I guarantee you will have a blast and maybe even get hooked!

If you are looking for a more high-speed adventure, you can take the next step and take a racing class which will allow you to then obtain your racing license so you can legally race on higher speed tracks with other professionals.

There are several types of racing formats:

1) Sprint

2) Endurance

3) Speedway[widget:ad_unit-490972681]

Each of these formats is different in their own way and offers you the chance to experience a variety of ways to race. If you are really serious about go kart racing and you become really good at it, you may want to start entering competitions where you can qualify to go onto bigger competitions at regional, national and international levels.
